Possibilities and limitations

Sculpture series in oil-burned steel and bronze

Size at base: 18 x 18 x 3 cm.

Small bronze figures in various situations and phases of life. Each and every one has to deal with their own little reality - here in the form of a “canvas” of steel. Characters in everyday, recognizable situations exhibiting varying degrees of conviction, humor and control over it all...

The Loom
Rust-red human bodies are mounted in a circular frame of burnt wood.
The figures are easily recognizable as a form, but at the same time the assembly of the body elements are disturbing and
not according to Nature :Headless bodies and body parts in a warp close together. A tribulation within a
limited space. A logical and natural response is that the eye searches
according to affinity between the different figure elements, which
the eye follows the lines of a line drawing.
The circle is a unifying form and fairly associative
open...Man is an interpretive being, not of learning,
but by nature.

Cutting Edge. Wall sculpture in steel and bronze
(Format 25 x 18 x 6 cm) One of the first in a series titled Muligheter og Begrensninger. (Possibilities and Limitations) I have also used this as my logo.
